Adeline is a village located in Ogle County, Illinois, along the Leaf River. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 139.

Geography

Adeline is located at 42°8'33" North, 89°29'26" West (42.142382, -89.490633).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²). 0.7 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 139 people, 50 households, and 39 families residing in the village. The population density was 198.8/km² (517.1/mi²). There were 50 housing units at an average density of 71.5/km² (186.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.12% White, 0.00% African American, 0.72% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 2.16% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 2.88% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 50 households out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.0% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% were non-families. 16.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
